Chef Ryan Steyn

Ryan Steyn is the head chef at El Jardin de Adobe Restaruant at Adobe Guadalupe and the owner of the restaurants La Querencia Campestre and Bistro l’escargot in Baja California. He is a graduate of the Swiss Institute for Hospitality Training in South Africa, and has had the honor of having cooked for Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Former President Nelson Mandela. While Chef Steyn has lived in Baja for five years, his strong European training gives his cuisine an international touch. Chef Ryan has taught courses at prestigious culinary schools, such as Ambrosia and Superior Cuisine in Mexico City. He represented the South African Embassy in Mexico at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and has participated in numerous culinary events and competitions.
